How you will impact Southern States Cooperative:
- Qualify with the U.S. Coast Guard as "Person in Charge" of receiving petroleum products by barge into terminal storage.
- Supervise barge unloading into storage tanks.
- Observe safety procedures in terminal operations and advise supervisor when abuse occurs or when up-grades need to be made in safety procedures.
- Obtain 40 hour HAZMAT technician level training after one year experience on the job.
- Perform maintenance and repairs for daily terminal operations.
- Assist with driver training for loading rack procedures.
- Perform daily housekeeping throughout the entire terminal operation.
- Take actual inventories on a daily and end of month basis.
- Understand and perform explicit instructions from supervisors
- High School diploma
- Valid Driver's License - Satisfactory Driving Record (MVR)
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to understand and follow directions correctly
